Простой скроллинг внутри блока
Опишу простенький способ для создания вертикальной прокрутки внутри блока. Отлично подойдет для сайта в котором место ограничено какими то рамками.
Принцип работы
Прокрутка будет происходить после наведения на кпопку для прокрутки, при нажатии на кнопку будет происходить прокрутка с удвоенной скоростью. Все это будет работать с помощью небольшого javascripta весом всего в 3 килобайта, что не может не радовать :-)
Использование
Вставляем код подключения скрипта между тегами <head></head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="easyscroll/easyscroll.js"></script>Создаем блок с текстом
<div id="myContent">
<!-- ТУТ БУДЕТ ВАШ ЧУДЕСНЫЙ ТЕКСТ -->
</div>И вообще то это все, возле вашего контейнера с текстом(myContent) появляться кнопки для управления.
Настраиваем скрипт

Помоему легче дать пользователю самому крутить контент либо колесом либо, т.к. эта прокрутка это издевательство какое-то :) Если мне нужен конец контента процесс превращается в пытку.
Ну так можно настроить скорости, или добавить кнопку «в конец».
для разных задач разные инструменты. так что больше РАЗНЫХ примеров и каждый сам решит что удобно, а что нет.

Этот скриптик натолкнул меня на мысль, что его можно немного трансформировать и организовать эффект, описанный в посте «Горизонтальный скроллинг в блоке» от 28 марта, без использования тяжеловесной mootools…
Единственное, что не понравилось, так это то, что автор решил засунуть создание кнопочек внутрь скрипта…
Ну для «не продвинутого» пользователя это намного удобней. Да и с ними можно хоть что делать с помощью всемогущего css.
Пример там конечно не так удобен, как возможно, но идея очень полезна если она универсальна)

легче, конечно, и удобнее.
но заказчики и их дизайнеры любят кастомизированные элементы.
ниша для данного скрипта давно существует и исчезать не собирается :)

Да, было бы очень интересно посмотреть такой пример для горизонтальной навигации по контенту. Добавлю ваш сайт в закладки и друзьям посоветую, только доделайте примерчик пожалуйста :)
А как сделать кнопки вместо текста, и как их переместить, например чтобы были сверху и снизу, ещё хорошобы убрать -reset-???????????

Чтобы сделать картинки вместо текста, в самом скрипте, пишешь «img src=image.jpg» и все работает.

Я попробовал в него вставить большую картинку и она прекрасно скролится.
Я рекомендовал бы Вам добавить функции Вправо-влево, и тогда можно в такой блок вставить , например, карту и прокручивать её.
Ну и если это Вас заинтересует, то добавить переменные по центрированию изображения.
