О чудо! Распознание шрифтов.
Сегодня нашел сервис для распознания шрифтов. Смысл таков: вы даете сервису картинку с текстом, он определяет каким шрифтом этот текст написан.
Попробывал на двух случайно взятых логотипах — получилось ^_^
Распознание буквально моментальное, если вы не найдете нужный шрифт, то хотя бы подберете максимально похожий.

Так как этот сервис был мне несказанно был нужен все эти годы я ужасающе рад, надеюсь и Вам он пригодится!
А как насчет распознавания символов в защитных картинках?
Ну как веб-мастер, я о таком и не думал :-)
А вот дела с кирилецей то вроде хренова обстоят, пару месяцев назад не понимал, как сейчас?
Вряд ли, большинство шрифтов не кириллические, так что и распознать их весьма сложно.

Есть такая прога – Fontmassiv. Пробегала на ННМе, а так она фриварная. Даешь ей картинку и папку со шрифтами. Она подбирает наибошлее похожий из того, что есть. Работает очень неплохо.

Преимущество этого сервиса именно в огромной базе шрифтов, так что программа вряд ли сможет послужить лучше.

2) Наиболее похожий из тех шрифтов, что есть – очень часто вещь полезная и достаточная.
Но понятно, что база шрифтов тоже большой плюс.
