Изменяем стандартный вид директории
Вид директории на сервере Apache выглядит, так как показано на картинке выше, немного другой вид она будет иметь в браузере firefox. Откровенно говоря, это некрасиво и неудобно.
Для изменения вида мы будем использовать небольшой скрипт под названием «PHP Directory Lister», про который я расскажу ниже.
«PHPDL» прост в установке, просто закидываем этот скрипт в нашу папочку и наш интерфейс кардинально меняется.
Интерфейс PHPDL
Скрипт «PHP Directory Lister» делится на две ветки: «PHPDL» и «PHPDL lite».
«PHPDL lite» имеет минимум функций, это отображение названия, даты, размера и ссылки на скачивание.
А вот «PHPDL» может несколько больше:
- Отображение типов файлов с помощью иконок
- Предпросмотр картинок
- Прослушка аудио-файлов
- Просмотр видео-файлов
Все эти плюсы делают «PHPDL» просто невероятно удобным, по сравнению с функционалом стандартного интерфейса.

Выглядит намного красивее, чем стандартное отображение.
P.S. А вы сами используйте такое отображение директорий на сервере? :)
Нет, не использую, еще не было такой надобности.

Неприятны периодические траблы с кодировками (иногда автоматически путает cp1251 и юникод).
Неприятно, что картинку, лежащую в папке «скукоживает», если её открывать щелчком. График на картинке моей становится уродливым, да и через кнопку скачать неудобно както, единственный вариант — средней кнопой щёлкать, в новой вкладке открывать (вот пример двух картинок — буковки не разобрать толком, а если открывать в новой вкладке, тогда порядок). Такой подход может быть полезен для фотоальбома, но для пиксельных gif нехорошо выходит.
Зато папочка скачать, для обмена файлами на скору руку — аналог страницы загрузки с сайта — теперь красиво выглядит, спасибо.
Скрипт хороший и полезный. Но если у вас большой файловый архив лучше сделать web интерфейс. Хотя бы ради описаний к файлам, пользоваться будет удобнее, да и поисковики смогут проиндексировать. А если архив популярный, то и рекламу установить можно.
А там есть авторизация?
Нет. Ну ее в принципе не очень сложно добавить.
